Four films of the eminent jury to be screened at 21st IFFK

Four films from the eminent jury will be screened at the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala. These screenings will provide an opportunity for the audience to get to know the work of the members of the jury.

‘Wedding from Galilee’, by the acclaimed Palestinian film maker Michel Khleifi will represent his work. The film brought Palestinian cinema to the International arena and won numerous international awards including the Critics Prize at Cannes.

‘Anatomy of Violence’, based on a workshop conducted by Deepa Mehta on the Nirbhaya case has a stellar performance by the well known actress Seema Biswas. This is the premiere screening of the film in Kerala.

Serik Aprymov from Kazakhstan represents the country in focus at the 21st IFFK. His acclaimed films ‘The Hunter’ and ‘Brother’ are being screened this year. Serik Aprymov’s films were the ones that brought early recognition to Kazhak cinema.

Baran Kosari, jury member from Iran is represented by her latest film ‘Lantouri’ directed by Reza Dormishaian. The film deals with the trauma of disfiguration of women in a male dominated society. Told through the testimonials of four men, the film provides a disturbing picture of a society in which aggression erupts against the less powerful.

ഇരുപത്തി ഒന്നാമത് രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ ജൂറി അംഗങ്ങളുടെ നാല് ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കും. മത്സരവിഭാഗ ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ ജൂറി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ മിഷേല്‍ ക്ലെഫിയുടേതടക്കം (ഇസ്രയേല്‍) നാലു പേരുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ചലച്ചിത്രതാരം സീമ ബിശ്വാസ്, ഇറാനിയന്‍ ചല ച്ചിത്രതാരം ബാരന്‍ കൊസാറി, കസാക്കിസ്ഥാന്‍ സംവിധായകനായ സെറിക് അപ്രിമോവ്, ഡര്‍ബന്‍ ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയിലെ പ്രോഗ്രാം ഡയറക്ടറായ പെഡ്രോ പിമെന്ത എന്നിവരാണ് ജൂറി അംഗങ്ങള്‍.

സീമ ബിശ്വാസ് അഭിനയിച്ച ദീപാ മേത്ത ചിത്രം 'അനാട്ടമി ഓഫ് വയലന്‍സ്', 'വെഡ്ഡിങ് ഇന്‍ ഗലീലി' (മിഷേല്‍ ക്ലെഫി), 'ദി ഹണ്ടര്‍' (സെറിക് അപ്രിമോവ്), ബാരന്‍ കൊസറി അഭിനിയിച്ച് റെസ ഡോര്‍മിഷ്യന്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത 'ലന്റൂറി' എന്നിവയാണ് ജൂറി ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍.

 കോളിളക്കം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ഡല്‍ഹിയിലെ 'നിര്‍ഭയ' സംഭവത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയ ചിത്രമാണ് ദീപാ മേത്തയുടെ 'അനാട്ടമി ഓഫ് വയലന്‍സ്'. ടൊറന്റോ ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ മികച്ച പ്രതികരണം നേടിയ ഈ ഹിന്ദി ചിത്രത്തിലാണ് ജൂറി അംഗമായ സീമാ ബിശ്വാസ് പ്രധാന വേഷത്തിലെത്തുന്നത്.

1950 കളിലെ അറബ്-ഇസ്രയേല്‍ യുദ്ധപശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ ഒരുക്കിയതാണ് മിഷേല്‍ ക്ലെഫിയുടെ 'വെഡ്ഡിങ് ഇന്‍ ഗലീലി'. കര്‍ഫ്യൂ സമയത്ത് മകന്റെ വിവാഹാഘോഷം നടത്താന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന പിതാവിന്റെ അനുഭവങ്ങളിലൂടെയാണ് ചിത്രം വികസിക്കുന്നത്. 

കസാക്കിസ്ഥാനിലെ ഒരു ഉള്‍ഗ്രാമത്തിലുള്ള 12 വയസ്സുകാരന്റെയും വേട്ടക്കാരന്റെയും ജീവിതാവിഷ്‌കാരമായ സെറിക് അപ്രിമോവിന്റെ 'ദി ഹണ്ടര്‍' നെറ്റ്പാക് പുരസ്‌കാരം, ഗ്രാന്റ് പ്രിക്‌സ് ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയിലെ ഡി മിലാന്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം എന്നിവ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഇറാനി പുതുതലമുറ സിനിമകളില്‍ വിഖ്യാതനായ റെസ ഡോര്‍മിഷ്യന്റെ 'ലന്റൂറി' ബര്‍ലിന്‍ ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ നിരൂപക പ്രശംസനേടിയ ചിത്രമാണ്. കാമുകന്റെ ആസിഡ് ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ ശരീരം വികൃതമായ ഒരു പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയുടെ ജീവിതം പങ്കുവെയ്ക്കുന്ന 'ലന്റൂറി' ഇക്കൊല്ലത്തെ മികച്ച പശ്ചിമേഷ്യന്‍ ജനപ്രിയ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നായി വിലയിരുത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.

ജി. അരവിന്ദന് ആദരമര്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ ഗരിമയെത്തും ഒപ്പം 'ടെസ'യും

ഇരുപത്തി ഒന്നാമത് കേരള രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ വിഖ്യാത ചലച്ചിത്രകാരന്‍ ജി. അരവിന്ദന് ആദരമര്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ എത്യോപ്യന്‍ ചലച്ചിത്രകാരന്‍ ഹെയ്‌ലേ ഗരിമ എത്തും. 1993 ല്‍ പുറത്തുവന്ന 'സാന്‍കോഫ' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ രാജ്യാന്തര പ്രശസ്തി നേടിയ സംവിധായകനും നിര്‍മാതാവുമാണ് ഗരിമ. പാര്‍ശ്വവത്കരിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന വിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ യഥാതഥമായ ചലച്ചിത്രഭാഷ്യമെന്ന നിലയിലാണ് ഗരിമയുടെ സിനിമകളെ നിരൂപകര്‍ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നത്. ഹെയ്‌ലേ ഗരിമയുടെ ഏറ്റവും ഒടുവിലത്തെ ചിത്രം 'ടെസ'യും മേളയുടെ ഭാഗമായി പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. 

എത്യോപ്യയില്‍ ജനിച്ച് 1967 ല്‍ അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക് കുടിയേറിയ ഗരിമയെ ലാറ്റിനമേരിക്കന്‍ ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ പ്രചോദിപ്പിച്ചു. 1976 ല്‍ പുറത്തുവന്ന 'ഹാര്‍വസ്റ്റ്: 3000 ഇയേഴ്‌സ്' ലൊക്കാര്‍ണോ ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം നേടിയതോടെ ഗരിമയുടെ പ്രതിഭ ലോകം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുവാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി. പിന്നീടുവന്ന 'ആഷസ് ആന്‍ഡ് എംബേഴ്‌സും' (1982) പുരസ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍കൊണ്ട് ശ്രദ്ധനേടി. അടിമയുടെ വിപ്ലവജീവിതം പ്രചോദനകരമായി ആവിഷ്‌കരിച്ച 'സാന്‍കോഫ'യ്ക്ക് അമേരിക്കയില്‍ വിതരണക്കാരെ കിട്ടാതെവന്നോപ്പള്‍ സ്വതന്ത്രമായ വിതരണ സംവിധാനാമൊരുക്കി തിയേറ്ററുകളില്‍ ചിത്രമെത്തിച്ചും ഗരിമ വിപ്ലവം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു.

ജന്മനാട്ടിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയെത്തുന്ന ഒരു ആഫ്രിക്കന്‍ ബുദ്ധിജീവിക്ക് ഭരണകൂടത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് നേരിടേണ്ടിവരുന്ന പീഡനങ്ങള്‍ ആവിഷ്‌കരിച്ച 'ടെസ' ഗരിമയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്. ഉയര്‍ന്ന കലാമൂല്യമുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ ചുരുങ്ങിയ മുതല്‍മുടക്കില്‍ നിര്‍മിച്ച് വ്യവസ്ഥാപിത ചലച്ചിത്ര ധാരണകളെ പിടിച്ചുലച്ച ചലച്ചിത്രകാരനെന്ന നിലയിലും ഗരിമ വേറിട്ടുനില്‍ക്കുന്നു.

ഡിസംബര്‍ 14 ന് നിള തിയേറ്ററില്‍ വൈകുന്നേരം ആറു മണിക്കാണ് അരവിന്ദന്‍ സ്മാരക പ്രഭാഷണവും ചലച്ചിത്ര പ്രദര്‍ശനവും.

Eminent film maker Haile Gerima to deliver this year’s Aravindan Memorial Lecture

Haile Gerima (Ethiopian filmmaker)

This year’s Aravindan Memorial lecture is set to be delivered by Ethiopian writer, producer and director, Haile Gerima on the 14th of December. Gerima is best known for his internationally acclaimed film ‘Sankofa’ made in 1993. His most recent film, ‘Teza’ made in 2008 is to be screened as part of this programme. Throughout his career; Gerima has used his work as a critical lens for personal growth and creative development. His concern for people of African descent is evident, especially, where the representation of their image is concerned.

'Teza’ is a personal drama, set in Ethiopia and Germany. The film chronicled the return of an African intellectual to his country of birth, during the repressive regime of Haile Mariam Mengistu. ‘Teza’ was also well received by International Critics.

 An alumnus of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Film and Television, Gerima has spent over 40 year making high value, low budget films outside of commercial institutions. Gerima has been a distinguished professor of film at Howard University since 1975. He is also a leading member of the L.A. Rebellion film movement, also known as the Los Angeles School of Black Filmmakers.

 Aravindan Memorial lecture is an annual programme conducted by the International Film Festival of Kerala in the honour of legendary Malayalam film maker Padma Shri Govindan Aravindan.

‘GENDER BENDER’ in solidarity with LGBT community

The Gender Bender package of 21st International film festival of Kerala includes a bunch of films, which were been appreciated by the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community around the world. This section features six films which propagate emotional, social, cultural and political situations of LGBT society. This is for the first time IFFK shows its solidarity with transgender community.

‘Front Cover’ directed by Ray Yeung, ‘Loev’ by Sudhansu Saria, Philippine drama film ‘Quick Change’ directed by Eduardo Roy Jr., ‘Rara’ by  Pepa San Martín, Ester Martin Bergsmark’s ‘Something Must Break’,’The Summer of Sangaile’ by AlanteKavaite are the films which are included in this package.

The only Indian film in this category is ‘LOEV’ directed by Sudhansu Saria is  a tender gay love story of Aspiring musician Sahil and wall street deal maker Jai. The film had its premiere in many prestigious festivals like Tallinn Black Nights film festival,Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, BFI Flare: London LGBT Film Festival, Frameline film festival, Pink Apple – Lesbian and Gay Film festival etc.

Filmmaker Ray Yeung’s ‘Front Cover’ is a poignant dramatic comedy about a gay New York City fashion stylist and a famous Chinese actor.An unlikely friendship develops between them after a photo shoot and both of them starts a journey of self-discovery. Front Cover has won many awards and good audience response in film festivals like Chicago International Film Festival, FilmOut San Diego, US,Outflix Film Festival,Seattle International Film Festival.

Philppino film ‘Quick Change’ by Eduardo Roy Jr. deals with the story of a retired entertainer who offers quick cosmetic fixes to other transgendered performers and side effects caused  by the beauty enhancers. Rara is about the complicated changes that happens in the life of Sara, a 13-year-old girl in a town in Chile, who lives with her mother, her younger sister, and her mother's lesbian lover.

Something Must break is a bittersweet story about the love between Sebastian, who wants to be a woman, and Andreas who is quite a heterosexual. The film has won awards in Chicago International Film Festival, CPH PIX ,Guadalajara International Film Festival, Guldbagge Awards,Göteborg Film Festival, London Film Festival,QueerLisboa - Festival Internacional de Cinema Queer,Rotterdam International Film Festival,Seville European Film Festival.’The Summer of Sangaile’ tells the story of Sangailė a teenager who wants to become a pilot develops a lesbian romance with a 17-year-old girl Austė.

റേ യുങ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത അമേരിക്കന്‍ ചിത്രമായ 'ഫ്രണ്ട് കവര്‍' ഒരു സ്വവര്‍ഗ്ഗാനുരാഗിയായ ഫാഷന്‍ സ്റ്റൈലിസ്റ്റും ബെയ്ജിങ്ങിലെ വളര്‍ന്നു വരുന്ന അഭിനേതാവും തമ്മിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന സൗഹൃദവും തുടര്‍ന്നുണ്ടാകുന്ന പ്രണയവുമാണ് ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നത്. സില്‍ക് സ്‌ക്രീന്‍ ഏഷ്യന്‍ അമേരിക്കന്‍ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവല്‍, വിന്‍സ്റ്റണ്‍-സലേം ഇന്റര്‍നാഷണല്‍ ക്വീര്‍ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവല്‍ തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി ചലച്ചിത്ര മേളകളില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിച്ച ചിത്രത്തിന് മികച്ച പ്രേക്ഷകപ്രതികരണവും ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു.

ഭിന്നലിംഗക്കാര്‍ക്കിടയിലെ അനധികൃത സൗന്ദര്യവര്‍ദ്ധക വസ്തു കച്ചവടവും കുത്തിവയ്പ്പുകളിലൂടെ ശരീരത്തില്‍ പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ വരുത്തുന്നതും മറ്റും പ്രമേയമാക്കി എഡ്വാര്‍ഡോ ഡബ്യൂ റോയ് ജൂനിയര്‍ ഒരുക്കിയ ഫിലിപ്പെന്‍ ചിത്രമാണ് 'ക്വിക്ക് ചേയ്ഞ്ച്'. സ്വവര്‍ഗ്ഗാനുരാഗികളായ സ്ത്രീകളോടൊപ്പം വളരുന്ന പതിമൂന്നുകാരിയുടെ കൗമാരപ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളാണ് പെപ്പ സന്‍ മാര്‍ട്ടിന്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത 'രാര' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇതിവൃത്തം.

കൗമാരക്കാരികളായ സ്വവര്‍ഗ്ഗാനുരാഗികളുടെ കഥയാണ് അലന്തേ കവൈതേയുടെ 'ദി സമ്മര്‍ ഓഫ് സാങ്‌ഐല്‍'. കൂട്ടുകാരിയുടെ  പ്രണയവും പ്രേരണയും പ്രചോദനവും കൊണ്ട് തന്റെ സ്വപ്‌നം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയുടെ കഥയാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രമേയം.

November 30 last day for the registration of delegate fees

The last date for registered delegates to pay the delegate fees for the IFFK is November 30, 2016. Those who do not pay the delegate fees up until this date shall have their pass considered invalid.  500 delegates whose passes are considered invalid on November 30 can reapply for the pass on December 5th with an added fine of 700 rupees said Kerala Chalachitra Academy Secretary.

IFFK to Honour Director K.S.Sethumadhavan, Ken Loach in Retro Package and in Contemporary Focus Director Mia Hansen Love.

 21st International Film Festival of Kerala honours noted director K.S.Sethumadhavan, by Showcasing five of his classic films in this festival in the retro package. He has directed 68 films in Malaylayam, Hindi, Orriya, Tamil, and Kannada. English director Ken Loach’s nine films are also to be screened alongside K.S.Sethumadhavan’s films in the retro package. Sethumadhacvan's Films of the prestigious Malayalam films like ,’Anubhavangal Paalichakal’[1971], ’Punnarjanmam[1972],’The Other Side’[Marrupakkam][1990],’ Achanum Bappayum (1972),Adimakal (1969) to be screened on different days .

 Trivandrum is set to screen 9 Films of award winning director Ken Loach including ‘Fatherland’, ‘Hidden Agenda’, Riff-Raff, ’Land and Freedom’ and  ‘Looking for Eric’. Loach's film ‘Kes’ (1969) which was voted the seventh greatest British film of the 20th century in a poll by the British Film Institute is also be screened in this package 

Also famous French filmmaker Mia Hansen Love's five films have been included in the Contemporary Filmmaker in Focus package this year. Her film ‘The Father of My Children’, won the Special Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. This package also includes her films ‘All is Forgiven [2007], ‘Goodbye First Love [2011], ‘Eden’ [2014], and ‘Things to Come’ [2016].

പ്രശസ്ത ഫ്രഞ്ച് സംവിധായികയായ മിയ ഹാന്‍സെന്‍ ലവിന്റെ അഞ്ചു ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് കണ്‍ടെംപററി ഫിലിം മേക്കര്‍ ഇന്‍ ഫോക്കസ് വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ ഇത്തവണ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. കാന്‍ ചലച്ചിത്ര മേളയില്‍ പ്രത്യേക ജൂറി പുരസ്‌കാരം നേടിയ 'ദി ഫാദര്‍ ഓഫ് മൈ ചില്‍ഡ്രന്‍' (2009), 'ആള്‍ ഈസ് ഫോര്‍ഗിവന്‍' (2007), ഗുഡ് ബൈ ഫസ്റ്റ് ലവ്' (2011), 'ഏദന്‍' (2014), 'തിങ്‌സ് ടു കം' (2016) എന്നിവയാണ് മേളയിലെ മിയ ഹാന്‍സെന്‍ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍.

രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്ര മേളയ്ക്കായി രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്ത ഡെലിഗേറ്റുകള്‍ക്ക് ഫീസ് അടയ്ക്കാന്‍ നവംബര്‍ 30 വരെ അവസരം. കൂടാതെ, നിശ്ചിത സമയത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ ഫീസ് അടയ്ക്കാത്തതിനാല്‍ അസാധുവാകുന്ന 500 പ്രതിനിധികള്‍ക്കുള്ള പാസ്സുകള്‍ക്കായി ഡിസംബര്‍ അഞ്ചിന് അപേക്ഷിക്കാമെന്നും ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമി സെക്രട്ടറി അറിയിച്ചു. 700 രൂപയാണ് ഫൈന്‍ അടക്കമുള്ള അപേക്ഷാഫീസ്.

81 films to be screened in the IFFK ‘World Films’ category

81 films from 50 different countries including India under the category of world cinema will be screened at the21st International Film Festival of Kerala.  

 This category includes South Korean film maker Kim Ki Duk’s new film ‘Net’ .The movie revolves around the story of a poor fisherman from North Korea and also the action thriller ‘The Age of Shadows’ directed by Jee-woon Kim and also other  award winning movies .

 The movie ‘A Death in the Gunj’ which is also the directorial debut of bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma’, alongwith  Leena Yadav’s ‘Parched’ and Gurvinder Singh’s ‘Chauthi Koot’ constitute the three films by Indian directors in this category .The instances that take place between the guests and ghosts present in a house is the central theme of ‘A Death in the Gunj ‘. ‘Parched’ is produced by bollywood actor & director Ajay Devgan. The movie ‘Chauthi Koot’ revolves around the political Sikh nationalist Khalistan movement.

This category also includes 8 Iranian films. The movie ‘The salesman’ by Iranian filmmaker  Asghar Farhadi which was selected for the competition category in the Cannes  International Film festival ,the Japanese film  ‘After the Storm’ by director Kore-eda Hirokazu which gained much audience appreciation during the Cannes International Film Festival, the film ‘Elle’ a psychological thriller by French film maker Paul Verhoeven, ‘Endless Poetry‘ by Chilean film maker Alejandro Jodorowsky, the German film ‘Goodbye Berlin’ by Fatih Akin are also the highlights of this package.

Danish film maker Martin Zandvliet’s ‘Land of mine’ is based on the story of soldiers who were forcefully sent to dig up and disarm landmines in Denmark after the Second World War. The film has been nominated for Best Foreign Film category at the 2017 Oscars.

The other prestigious films to be screened in this category include ‘Its Only The End Of The World’ by Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan ,’the unknown girl’ by Belgian brothers Jean-Pierre Dardenne & Luc Dardeene ,’The Commune by Danish film maker Thomas vinterberg, ’Nawara’ by Egyptian fimmaker Hala Khalil, ’On the milky road’ by Emir Kusturica from Serbia ,‘Train Drivers diary’ by Milos Radovic, ‘Graduation’ by Cristian Mungiu and ’Sieranevada’ by Cristi Puiu.

കിം കി ഡുക്കിന്റെ 'നെറ്റും' മാര്‍ട്ടിന്‍ സാന്‍ഡ്വിലറ്റിന്റെ 'ലാന്‍ഡ്    ഓഫ് മൈനും ' പ്രദര്‍ശനത്തിന്

ഇരുപത്തിയൊന്നാമത് കേരള രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്ര മേളയില്‍ ലോകസിനിമാ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ 81 ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കും. ഇന്ത്യ ഉള്‍പ്പടെ 50 രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് ഈ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.

ദക്ഷിണകൊറിയന്‍ സംവിധായകന്‍ കിം കി ഡുക്കിന്റെ പുതിയ ചിത്രമായ 'നെറ്റും' ഇത്തവണ ലോകവിഭാഗത്തിലുണ്ട്. വടക്കന്‍ കൊറിയയിലെ പാവപ്പെട്ട ഒരു മീന്‍പിടുത്തക്കാരന്റെ ജീവിത കഥയാണ്  'നെറ്റ്'. കിം ജീ വൂന്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത 'ദി ഏജ് ഓഫ് ഷാഡോസ്' എന്ന ആക്ഷന്‍ ത്രില്ലര്‍ ചിത്രം ഉള്‍പ്പടെ നിരവധി മേളകളില്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍ നേടിയ ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ ലോകസിനിമാ വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകതയാണ്.

ബോളിവുഡ് നടി കൊങ്കണ സെന്‍ ശര്‍മ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത 'എ ഡെത്ത് ഇന്‍ ദ ഗുഞ്ച്', ലീനാ യാദവിന്റെ 'പാര്‍ച്ച്ഡ്', ഗുര്‍വിന്ദര്‍ സിംങിന്റെ 'ചൗത്തി കൂട്ട്' എന്നിവയാണ് ലോകവിഭാഗത്തിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍.

ഡാനിഷ് സംവിധായകനായ മാര്‍ട്ടിന്‍ സാന്‍ഡ്വിലറ്റ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത 'ലാന്‍ഡ് ഓഫ് മൈന്‍'  എന്ന ചിത്രം രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധത്തിന് ശേഷം കുഴിബോംബുകള്‍ നിര്‍വീര്യമാക്കാന്‍ ഡെന്‍മാര്‍ക്കിലേക്ക് പോകാന്‍ നിര്‍ബന്ധിതരായ ജര്‍മന്‍ പട്ടാളക്കാരുടെ കഥയാണ്. മികച്ച വിദേശഭാഷാ ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ള പുരസ്‌കാരത്തിനായി അടുത്ത വര്‍ഷത്തെ ഓസ്‌കാറിലേക്ക് ചിത്രം നാമനിര്‍ദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Successful registration of 12000 delegates; IFFK delegate registration finally closed after overwhelming response

The delegate registration for the 21st IFFK has been completed. Over 12,000 delegates have registered this year living up to the reputation of one of the most audience friendly festivals in India.. Out of those, 8000 people registered for general delegate passes on the first day itself. Delegate registration which had to be closed early due to overcrowding of delegate applications was reopened on 25th of November for a few hours on popular demand. But, was closed early, for the same reason. “This is proof of the wide reach and overall popularity of the film festival” said Kerala State Chalachitra Academy Chairman, and well known filmmaker Kamal. He also further stated that “I am happy with the fact that there is such an overwhelming response from the start itself, this places a great responsibility on us the organizers!” Amongst the total number of delegates, 3000 are students. Registrations for the media opened today.

ഇരുപത്തി ഒന്നാമത് രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയുടെ ഡെലിഗേറ്റ് രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയായി. 12,000 പേരാണ് ഡെലിഗേറ്റ് പാസ്സിന് രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തത്. രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍ ആരംഭിച്ച നവംബര്‍ അഞ്ചിന് തന്നെ 8000 ഓളം പേരാണ് ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ വഴിയും നേരിട്ടും രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തത്. അഭൂതപൂര്‍വമായ തിരക്കിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് നിര്‍ത്തിവെച്ചിരുന്ന രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍ ഇന്നലെ പുനരാരംഭിച്ചെങ്കിലും മണിക്കൂറുകള്‍ക്കകം പ്രതിനിധികളുടെ എണ്ണം പൂര്‍ത്തിയായി. ഇത് മേളയുടെ സ്വീകാര്യതയ്ക്കുള്ള തെളിവാണെന്നും രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവത്തിനെ തുടക്കത്തിലേ ചലച്ചിത്ര പ്രേമികള്‍ ഇരുകയ്യും നീട്ടി സ്വീകരിച്ചതില്‍ സന്തോഷമുണ്ടെന്നും ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ കമല്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ആകെയുള്ള പ്രതിനിധികളില്‍ 3000 പേര്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളാണ്. മാധ്യമ പ്രതിനിധികള്‍ക്കായുള്ള രജിസ്‌ട്രേഷന്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Media Registration Starts from 25th November

The registration of the media pass for 21st iffk can be done from 25th November 2016. The media pass will only be issued to the authorized media houses. Film magazines and online portals related to cinema will also be eligible for the media pass. The passes will only be provided to the media professionals, recommended or issued by the bureau chiefs of the respective media houses in Trivandrum. 

The bureau chiefs are requested to make sure, the accreditation letter and list of media personnel were submitted before the media cell at chalachithra academy office, Sasthamangalam, Trivandrum. The media registration can only be done through the iffk website. For registration, visit www.iffk.in

സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമി 2016 ഡീസംബര്‍ ഒമ്പതു മുതല്‍ 16 വരെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന 21 ാമത് കേരള രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രോത്സവത്തിന്റെ മീഡിയ പാസിനായി നവംബര്‍ 25 മുതല്‍ ഡിസംബര്‍ രണ്ടു വരെ ഓണ്‍ലൈനായി അപേക്ഷിക്കാം. സിനിമാ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങള്‍, സിനിമയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ പോര്‍ട്ടലുകള്‍ എന്നീ മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ക്കും മീഡിയ പാസിന് അര്‍ഹതയുണ്ടായിരിക്കും. ബ്യൂറോ ചീഫ് നിര്‍ദേശിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമായിരിക്കും പാസ് അനുവദിക്കുക. 

മറ്റു ജില്ലകളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള മാധ്യമ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ക്ക് അതത് മാധ്യമ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ബ്യൂറോ ചീഫ് സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയ കത്ത് ശാസ്തമംഗലത്ത് ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമിയില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന മീഡിയ സെല്ലില്‍ ഏല്‍പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.
