IFFK- Folk lore fest to be the vibrant chord

Any performing art which has antique and pre historic flare could be a fore runner of cinematic expressions. Many of its transitional situations too have been imbibed to this visual art form. Kerala and its folk lore surroundings have been a marked influence to many memorable movies. 21st IFFK would be pinned up adorably with a folk art festival which is to be performed in Tagore theatre. The festival is also conducted as a part of Vajra Keralam celebrations which marks the 60th anniversary of the State formation. Performances include folk songs, tribal dances, Chavittu natakam (ancient drama form),Puppetry, and Arabana Muttu.
The fest will commence with the vibrant music session by the band Rasa tomorrow .Bamboo music by Vayali lead by Vinod Nambiar is another attraction. Mudiyettu will be performed by V N Narayana Kurup Assan and group.
