Folk Fest - IFFK has add on colours

With the music band Resa presenting a scintillating performance, the Folk Fest had a grand start here in Tagore theatre. It took IFFK to a varied level of involvement and indulgence. The band’s vocalist Reshmi Satheesh presented the rich and appealing aspects of Indian folk tradition, along with a blend of global and native music. “The folk fiesta can be considered as a parallel folk-fest which is capable of resisting cultural fascism”, said Kamal, Chairman of Chalachitra Academy while presiding over the function. Cultural Secretary, Rani George IAS inaugurated the function which was attended by Academy secretary Mahesh.B, C.j.Kuttappan and actress Sajitha Madathil.
