IFFK’s Nature is Green

The 21st International Film Festival of Kerala will be strictly abiding a Green protocol, minimizing the use of plastic and its subsidiary products throughout the festival days. This will be done according to the directives given by the Corporation authorities.
There will be huge priority in minimizing   waste and thereby decreasing the carbon foot print observing this protocol. As a part of this initiative, decorations and arches of the festival venues are   made using   bamboo, jute, hay and cloth.  This is the first time in the history of IFFK that a green protocol is followed in the decorations. Waste collection and segregation in the venues are done in collaboration with Kudumbashree.
Delegates will be receiving the delegate kit in biodegradable Cloth bags. The usage of flexes will be reduced to the bare minimum. Flex boards will be used only to display the information of venues and show-timings of different films being screened. The organizers are expecting a whole-hearted co-operation from the delegates also, sticking on to this green initiative throughout the festival.
